Banks as lenders provide an opportunity for the community to meet their primary and secondary needs through loan arrangements and require borrowers to pay off their debts within a certain period of time in accordance with established policies. The situation that emerged during the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 outbreak where the spread became uncontrollable caused market uncertainty, which also affected the current economic situation of society, where many workers had to stop working, they lost their jobs. and have payment problems. The purpose of this research is to find out, through the Financial Services Authority, government policies regarding public loans during a pandemic. research method, the normative legal research method is used, where information is collected through library research and analyzed qualitatively, taking into account the facts of the subject. The conclusion is that the government will provide interest relief, extend credit terms, reduce principal arrears, reduce interest arrears, increase financial credit limits and change financial credit to maintain the value of the rupee. This credit assistance is very useful when given interest on loan debt. It can be used by those with bad credit. The government must issue a new policy during this pandemic by providing legal protection and legal certainty by requiring all banks to facilitate lending, continue to prioritize banking supervision principles, and apart from that, banks must also overcome debtors' incomprehension towards debtors. minimizing criteria and mechanisms.
