Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in preparing individuals to face current and future life challenges, especially in mathematics learning, which requires memory and active student engagement. The 2013 competency-based curriculum is designed to develop logical, critical, and creative thinking skills. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on Number Patterns through a problem-solving approach using student worksheets (LKS) in Grade VIII at MTs Darul Mukhlashin. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) consists of two cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, with final evaluations at the end of each cycle. The study is considered successful if 75% of students achieve a score of ≥60. The results indicate significant improvements in student learning outcomes, with many initially not meeting the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), reaching 90% completeness by the end of the second cycle. The application of problem-solving with LKS proved effective in enhancing students' understanding, engagement, and interest in mathematics, making it an effective alternative learning approach in schools.Keywords: Student Learning Outcomes with Problem-Solving Approach Activities (Problem Solving)
